Here is a rare “family and friends” private charter that is available to book at well below the normal per bed charter rate. Our two Amtrak compliant private railcars will depart Chicago, behind Amtrak’s “City of New Orleans” on September 8, 2018 bound for New Orleans. Following our two day stay in the big easy, we travel west to San Antonio, TX behind the Sunset Limited. After a two day stay, we then travel back north to Chicago behind Amtrak’s Texas Eagle, arriving Sunday, September 16th.
Our two private rail cars are the Moonlight Dome” and the Birch Grove. We are able to accommodate 24 total passengers. The dome car features four staterooms that each sleep two people. The sleeper features nine single roomettes and six double bedrooms that feature up a& down berths. All rooms have toilets and sinks with passengers having use of two showers for communal use. All meals are served in the dome section of Moonlight Dome which has six, four top tables. Our onboard staff consists of our professional chef and two server/porters. Your ticket price includes all travel, lodging, food and drink. It does not include gratuity for the staff or any expenses off the train.

Saturday September 8, 2018 –
Moonlight Dome and Birch Grove will depart Chicago behind Amtrak’s City of New Orleans #59 train 8:05 PM. Enjoy evening snacks and drinks in the lounge of the Moonlight Dome while meeting our other travel companions.
Sunday September 9
3:32 PM Arrive New Orleans. Spend the rest of the day as you like in New Orleans. (Breakfast and Lunch will be served on board.)
Monday September 10
Spend the day as you like in New Orleans. (Breakfast served on board)
Tuesday September 11
Spend the day as you like in New Orleans. (Breakfast served on board)
Wednesday September 12
9:00 AM Depart New Orleans behind Amtrak’s #1 Sunset Limited (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner served on board)
